Your Lake Highlands-area Democratic Precinct Chairs invite you to a question and answer forum with Jerry Allen and Don Sanders, the two candidates running to represent District 10 (our neighborhood) on the

Dallas City Council

 

Come hear the candidates' views on zoning, crime, the hotel vote, and other issues of importance to Lake Highlands

In addition…

1) Gov. Howard Dean is coming to meet with Dallas Democrats!  April 26, 2009 at the Angelika Theatre located at 5321 E. Mockingbird Lane, Dallas 75206.  Doors Open @ 6:30 PM with the program beginning @ 7:00 PM.  Free Admission on a First Come Basis.  A ticketed reception immediately following for $50.  To RSVP for the ticketed reception, call the Dallas County Democratic Party at 214.821.8331.

2) Reception with Bill White (Mayor of Houston and Candidate for U.S. Senate) - Monday, April 6, 6:00-7:30 p.m., home of Naomi Aberly, 10210 Strait Lane.  This event is free.

 

3) Preston Hollow Democrats Monthly Meeting - Thursday, April 9, social time at 6:00 p.m., dinner/program at 6:30 p.m., Popolo's (NW corner of Preston and Royal).  Mayor Leppert and Anne Raymond will debate and take questions on the upcoming referendum on the city-owned hotel.  There also will be an update on several 'green' projects being undertaken by the club.  Non-members welcome.  Dinner available for $20 (including tax and tip).

 

4) Tax Day Burger Bash!!  Join the Dallas County Democratic Party as we renew our traditional April 15th Tax Day Burger Bash. The Burger Bash will be held on the parking lot at the DCDP offices (4209 Parry Ave., Dallas 75223). Minimum contribution of $10.40 but additional "Stimulus" will be accepted.

 

5) Lake Highlands/White Rock Democratic Club Monthly Meeting – Saturday, April 18th at Dancemasters, 10675 E. Northwest Hwy, Dallas. Dance Masters is a dance studio. It is in the Kroger shopping center located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Northwest Highway and Plano Road. It is upstairs on the west side of the parking lot. The stairs and elevator for the upper level are in the middle of the west wing. (Plano Road changes names at this intersection. It is Plano to the north of this intersection and Lake Highlands Drive to the south!) Coffee, Doughnuts, and Orange Juice - $5.00 donation at the door to help defray meeting expenses.

 

6) Dallas Young Democrats - Tuesday, April 14, at 7:00 p.m., Gezellig, 2010 Lower Greenville.
